Surrey driving lesson prices & school policy.

1. Lessons and road test services

Driving lessons cost $60 per hour, with a minimum booking of one hour. A package of five one-hour lessons costs $285 ($57 per hour), and a package of ten one-hour lessons costs $540 ($54 per hour). These packages are available for Class 5 or Class 7 instruction and include driving lessons only. Each lesson includes at least 55 minutes of practice time per hour. We confirm scheduling, payment and any pickup or drop-off fees before booking. The $200 road test package is a separate session of at least two hours, including a 45-minute warm-up. ICBC collects its testing fee when you arrive for the road test.

2. Cancellations

Please give Four Seasons Driving School at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel a driving lesson, including a lesson booked from a package, or a road test service. With less notice, a cancellation fee of 50% of the booked service price applies. If that service was prepaid, we keep 50% of its price and return the other 50%. For a prepaid lesson package, this applies only to the cancelled lesson at its package rate; the remaining lessons stay available.

If Four Seasons booked your ICBC road test, please give the school at least 72 hours’ notice to cancel or change it so we have time to notify ICBC. ICBC separately charges $25 when a road test is cancelled, rescheduled or missed with less than 48 hours’ notice. See ICBC road test information ↗

3. Payment and refunds

Payment is due before the end of each driving lesson or road test service. Completed services are nonrefundable. The prepaid late-cancellation rule in section 2 also applies.

4. Licence requirements

Before the first lesson and during every lesson, students must carry and present a valid learner’s or driver’s licence that permits them to drive in BC. This may be a valid BC or non-BC licence, as permitted by BC licensing rules. Students are responsible for confirming that their licence is valid for training and for any road test. A student who cannot present a valid licence cannot drive and will be charged the full fee for the booked lesson or road test package.

5. Passengers during a lesson

A maximum of three people may be in the school vehicle during a lesson: the student, the instructor and one observer.

6. Road test bookings

Students may book their own ICBC road test. Before Four Seasons can book on a student’s behalf, the student must sign ICBC’s Student Consent and Release form. The student must be actively training with Four Seasons and take a lesson within the 10 days before the scheduled road test. If this school requirement is not met, Four Seasons may cancel a road test appointment it booked.
